Welcome To Domus Dei 5151

Domus Dei Lodge No. 5151 is a Freemasons lodge in the English Constitution; Presided over by the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE).

The Lodge crest – a rarity amongst Freemasonry as it displays a cross, largely known as a Christian symbol. As Freemasons do not discuss Religion or Politics when we meet, this required special permission and was granted on the association the lodge has with the Domus Dei (now known as The Royal Garrison Church)

Our Core Values

Charity and Freemasons

Charity is in a Freemason’s DNA. It is the focus of our First Degree ceremony and its importance and virtues are the first lesson a newly made Freemason learns. We have other core values too..

Integrity

Friendship

Respect

Service

Freemasonry is a peculiar system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols

Start Your Journey...

Freemasonry teaches a newly made Brother a moral viewpoint along with an ancient story, through a series of short plays; which Masons call ‘Rituals’, wherein the individual is a participant in the story. These rituals are memorised and recited as near to verbatim as can be achieved – ensuring the tradition is passed on through a dedication to each Brother who is experiencing this story for the first time, on the part of the officers performing the ritual. Freemasonry is one of the worlds oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, charitable organisations. Founded on the three great principles of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth.

Every Brother takes something slightly different away and it is through sharing this with each other that the aforementioned principles emerge as behaviour, to the benefit of all.

The Three Principles

Brotherly Love

Acting with tolerance and respect towards the opinions of others and entails an obligation to behave with kindness and understanding to our fellow creatures.

Relief

Regular practice of charity. To endeavour to remind ourselves the needs of others can someday be our own. Only through giving can we ever hope to receive.

Truth

All Freemasons strive for truth in all their lives. Holding themselves and their Brothers to high standards of moral conduct both personally and professionally.
